Memorial Books

Your generation donation can be used to purchase books in memory of or in honor of someone. Consider donating the cost of a book ($25) to celebrate a birthday, an important occasion, or to honor the life of someone special.

Donations are tax-deductible and begin at $25, which is the average cost of a new hardback book.

Donors may specify a subject or genre for the donated book(s), such as cookbooks, photography, travel, juvenile, biography, etc. The titles selected are subject to the library’s collection policy and will be selected by staff librarians.

Acknowledgments will be sent to both the donor and the person or family members of those being honored.  A bookplate listing the name of the person honored or memorialized is placed in the front of the book. Each donation is handled personally and acknowledgements are sent within a few weeks.

Your gift to the library in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one is a lasting way to remember a special person that will be shared and enjoyed by library patrons who read it for many years to come.
